Captionista or Brazenista...

Many thanks to Sr. Rosari for her words of wisdom.  For 38 years I have lived by her words, and once again, I find myself trying something new. Why?  Because...I'm BOLD! I'm BRAZEN! And I'm more than just an ARTICLE!  


Another journey begins... 

I found a new hobby; writing cartoon captions for weekly and monthly magazines and newspapers.  Even though this is a new found hobby, I dream of having ONE of my captions selected to appear in The New Yorker.  So, to fine tune my skills, and to work on my off-beat humor,  I'm committed to writing captions for other web sites, magazines and newspapers--practice makes perfect (look at my penmanship books from grade school).  I can't promise that I'll be writing captions every week, but I'm on a mission to give it my best shot.


To keep my readers, friends, and customers up-to-date on my "Captionista" Journey, I've added a tab to the web site titled:  "Cartoon Captions".   This page will host my cartoon captions and I hope you find some humor in my captions or a least a slight chuckle.

Vintage Air Step Handbag from the 60s: a simulated leather with a crocodile-like texture. In fabulous vintage condition. Lined in black fabric with the Air Step Label and designer number imprinted on the interior bottom. Two interior compartments; one open and one catch-all zipper closure. Minor aging on the gold tone top trim and snap closure, otherwise, aged to perfection. Gold-tone metal studs on the bottom. Bag measures 11" x 7". (props are not included in sale).

This Vicenza Inc Black Suede Shoulder Bag is a keeper! Black suede exterior with fabric interior and some overlap of suede into the interior. One small open credit card size pocket with Vicenza Inc. stamp. Interior is in excellent condition. Front snap closure hidden by flap with decorative buckle on front flap and shoulder strap. Shoulder strap is adjustable. Bag measures: 8" x 6". Bag is in very good condition.

Beltrami Black Suede Shoulder Bag

The Beltrami Black Suede Shoulder Bag is Made in Italy and is not only gorgeous to look at, but gorgeous to touch! Sharp black suede--no fading! Very slight wear on the bottom suede (see picture) and some wear on the suede straps. Otherwise, this bag is in very good condition on the exterior and excellent condition on the fabric interior. One small zipper pocket inside with expandable gussets. Front snap closure hidden under flap. Flap has an embroidered elegant butterfly design of gold-tone metallic thread and small red beads.

Authentic Pierre Balmain Paris - Rare - Horse Hair / Leather Bag

This beautiful horse hair woven bag with brown leather trim is gorgeous! Horse hair weave on front, back and top flat with leather on trim, gussets and shoulder strap. Gold-tone hardware on shoulder supports, snap front closure and Pierre Balmain signature stamp. Exterior horse hair in excellent condition. Leather trim has minor wear on the bottom corners (see picture). A little fading on the gold-tone snap. Leather shoulder strap is in great condition, missing one snap at the bottom of the strap (see picture) not really visible to the eye. Black leather interior in mint condition; has three roomy compartments and one small catch-all zipper pocket. Interior also has Pierre Balmain “Paris” Made in Italy signature stamp. Bag measures: 10" x 7-1/2".
